Jack Legendre Legacy Giving Society

Honoring Jack Legendre

Jack Legendre served as Vice Chairman of the Meals on Wheels Montgomery County Board of Directors, dedicating his time and heart to serving local seniors and veterans. A devoted husband, father, and friend, Jack was known for his leadership, generosity, and fierce love for the LSU Tigers. He had a successful career with Woodforest National Bank and was deeply embedded in the Montgomery County community. Shortly after being nominated to serve as Board Chairman, Jack passed away. His wife, Heidi, continues to serve in his honor.

To celebrate his legacy, we have named our Legacy Giving Program after Jack. His life embodied joy, generosity, and community—values we carry forward every day. As those who knew him often say, the best way to honor Jack is to live like Jack—make the most of every day and leave things better than you found them. #LiveLikeJack

There are two simple ways to leave a legacy gift:

You can make a bequest in your will or name Meals on Wheels Montgomery County as a beneficiary of your life insurance, retirement account, or other assets.

If you are creating or amending your will on your own, you can use the following specific language for bequests to Meals on Wheels Montgomery County: I [your name] give to Meals on Wheels Montgomery County, 111 South 2nd St., Conroe, TX 77301, EIN #23-7310650, percent of my estate, or the sum of dollars, or the remainder of my estate.

If you plan to make a legacy gift, we’d love to hear from you! Contact our President & CEO, Carrie Watkins to discuss your legacy giving plan.
